SunPlay can be customized according to the style and needs of any location.How Is SunPlay Installed?
Like any quality concrete coating system, SunPlay’s performance starts with proper preparation and ends with a protective finish. While installation should always be handled by trained professionals, here’s a high-level look at the process:
- Surface Preparation. New concrete must cure for at least 28 days before installation. Existing surfaces are thoroughly cleaned, with any coatings, paint, or sealers removed. Grinding or other preparation methods may be used to ensure proper adhesion, and the surface must be completely dry before moving forward.
- Application. A SunPlay primer is applied first. Once dry, a polymer layer is spread evenly across the surface. A second layer follows, during which thermoplastic (TPV) granules are broadcast to create traction and texture. Additional layers can be added for increased depth or vibrancy. The system is finished with two coats of acrylic sealer for protection.
- Curing. SunPlay is ready for foot traffic within 12–24 hours and can safely handle water exposure after 48 hours, making it a great option for projects with tight timelines.
