SunAcid is an acid based concrete stain designed to add a permanent color to a concrete surface. The color is a mottled, translucent natural earthy toned color that often resembles marble, or granite. The stain reacts with the lime in the concrete and becomes a permanent part of the concrete and does not peel off or crack.
Features and benefits: SunAcid is colorfast and does not fade in UV light so this makes it ideal for exterior surfaces. This is a permanent coloration solution.
Where to use it: SunAcid can be used in a range of interior and exterior architectural decorative concrete applications.
How it’s done: SunStain is applied in a variety of ways but the most common is to spray the material onto the surface, it can be left as is or brushed into the surface with a broom. Once the material has reacted the floor must be neutralized and cleaned. Acid stains do not always need to be sealed although an unsealed surface could wear and will not have the depth of color and bold look of that of a sealed surface.
