SunStone Overview

The SunStone architectural limestone system transforms plain and ordinary concrete surfaces into an authentic looking real quarried stone surface without the huge investment. Because of the unique qualities of SundStone, this material can be applied over a number of different surfaces including: concrete, brick, walls, cinder block, hardiboard, stucco, foam, pre-cast moldings and more. There is no longer a need to tear out existing concrete when you have the option to get the exquisite results from this limestone concrete coating.

Features and Benefits: Because of the natural appearance of this architectural limestone coating, SunStone, offers a unique surface like no other. Like all Sundek overlay systems, the need to tear out and re pour concrete is no longer necessary with the SunStone System.

Where to use It: SunStone can be applied wherever you want to have a natural limestone coatings and can be installed over a many different surfaces including concrete, brick, walls, foam, drywall, cinder block, hardibacker, stucco, pre-cast moldings, and much more… Sunstone offers the look and feel of real quarried stone without the investment, and the look of the surface can be changed to suit updated finishes.

How it’s done: The SunStone System can only be installed by certified SUNDEK trained craftsmen. The system is applied by trowel, and the custom look and textures are achieved through the creative skill of the Sundek artisan installer. Hand-carved designs can also be carved into the SunStone to create travertine, flagstone, slate, tile or any custom pattern. The combination of hand- carving mixed with the application of creative coloration systems like oxides ad stains can create some of the best and most authentic looking decorative concrete surfaces around today.
