SunSplash Overview

SunSplash was designed to help protect concrete surfaces against the elements, salts, moisture and environmental pollutants.  These can all degrade concrete and cause early wear and tear.  SunSplash can be used to create a variety of effects such as Custom Scoreline, Aggregate Effects and Masonry Effects along with a variety of color layers and decorative input.

Another benefit of SunSplash is that it’s slip resistant texture can provide a skid resistant surface that is durable and will hold up even in high traffic areas.

Features and Benefits:  SunSplash is an economical surface finish that creates a safe, anti-slip durable yet appealing surface that is easy to maintain and has a very low cost of ownership. SunSplash is an acrylic based cement product that can be enhanced with the use of integral color, stains, dyes, and additional cut patters and designs.  Another popular method of adding flare and pizazz to SunSplash is by using multiple color splashes to the surface for enhanced depth and color patterns.

Where to use it:  You will find SunSplash around Pool decks, patios, walkways, entryways, drives, courtyards, and breezeways.

How it’s done:  SunSplash is applied with a spray-gun and the textured pattern is not knocked down with a trowel thereby leaving an “orange peel” effect. SunSplash can be installed directly onto a clean prepared concrete surface but may need to be installed using a base coat first, depending on the concrete surface to which it is being applied.  SunSplash should be sealed and protected with a clear coat sealer to ensure a long lasting durable surface.
